The Sanctuary is a non-profit registered Christian
Homeless Shelter which formerly was an outreach of His Hands Community Church.
We are funded by the grace of God and your generous gifts. Due to the
ever increasing homeless problem our population has increased as
well. We are in dire need of monetary gifts so that we might continue
to provide a self place for the less fortunate. Help us take them off
the streets and shelter them till they begin their road to the Lord.
With Jesus and some tender loving Christian care we have seen that
hope rebounds and once again our brothers and sisters of the road can
become a blessed asset to the "Body of Christ" and our community. Click
on button to help!
- A
New First ! We have just processed our first World Wide Web
guest. This person applied to the Sanctuary Mission as a result of locating
our resources through our new web site. PRAISE "Him"
- Year 2001 Renovations have completed! Our new residents
will enjoy the new kitchen and prayer garden for years to come. Thank You
Lord and Thank You Wisconsin!
-
We are on the move. We have an 80% occupancy rate and
are looking towards expansion.
-
We are excited to claim a 100% success rate. Some of
our residents still endure suffering and relapse after they depart,
but all of our residents depart with the gift of Jesus. They all
leave with a deep sown realization that there is another way. We
might not be there to see that seed grow and mature. That seed might
not bare fruit till future generations, but we have seen that seed
planted. We have seen the hope of Jesus in the their eyes. We have
witnessed one of "His" miracles.
- WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! If you have a heart for the community,
time for a good cause, and a common skill or talent??? Please consider The
Sanctuary Mission! For more information or to volunteer please call 352-621-3277.

- Frank Bullis September 24, 1955 - February 02, 2002. A guest at the
Sanctuary from January 19, 2001 - January 31, 2002 Re: Times Digest - MAN
STRUCK AND KILLED TRYING TO CROSS U.S. 19. Homosassa Springs - A 47 year old
Michigan man walking across U.S. 19 on Friday was killed after being hit by
a car driven by a Lecanto resident, according to a Florida Highway Patrol
report. The man was identified as Frank D. Bullis of Alpena, Mich. The
incident report said he attempted to cross U.S. 19 near Ivy Place shortly
before 7p.m. and entered the path of a northbound 1995 Ford driven by Mary
Meseroll, 48, of Lecanto. Bullis was pronounced dead at the scene; Meseroll
was not injured.
- A Faith Based Provider - On April 15, 2002 the Sanctuary
Mission entered into contract and become one of a small seed group of faith
based providers offering transitional housing to offenders released from the
State of Florida Department of Correction's institutions. While classified
under the state substance abuse division within the DOC, other types of
offenders are also eligible. Offenders now have a Christian, spiritual
alternative to temper the adjustment from prison to "Hood". With faith, hope
and guidance maybe The Sanctuary Mission can facilitate a new life. Maybe we
help put the "NEIGHBOR" back in the "HOOD". Please pray for them! Please
pray for us!
